Why Did God Create A Man. God created us to live and enjoy relationship as he did. This is sometimes called the “gap” theory.
Of all that god created, only man was made in god's image and likeness. God granted satan the opportunity to prove “he is like the most high”. Man was the crown of the physical creation and was designed to rule over it.
And Man Became A Living Being” (Genesis 2:7).
Male and female he created them. Being made in the image and likeness of god (genesis 1:27), human beings have the ability to know god and therefore love him, worship him, serve him, and fellowship with him. Did god create animals and then man, as in the first book of genesis, or did he create man first, as in the second book?
Since They Are No Longer Two But One, Let No One Split Apart What God Has Joined Together.
God did not create human beings because he needed them. I assume that, by referring to the first and second books of genesis you really mean the first and second chapters. Yet, the bible attributes the origin of man to an act of direct creation by god:
God Created Us To Live And Enjoy Relationship As He Did.
And have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing. Further, god blessed them, and god said to them: Isaiah 43:7 everyone who is called by my name, whom i created for my glory, whom i formed and made.”.
“God Went On To Create The Man In His Image, In God’s Image He Created Him;
It is a travesty of these human natures to think god’s only design in the differences was for making and nursing babies. His plan led to the creation of man. Fill the earth and subdue it.
God Then Renewed The Earth, Created The Creatures On The Earth, And Created Man.
We have certain capacities in us, our human virtues, which are positive and good, matching god’s divine virtues. God blessed them and said to them, ‘be fruitful and increase in number; The fact that man was created in god’s image means that god’s divine attributes have been copied into man to become his human virtues.
